The most prestigious German publisher, Suhrkamp Verlag, “synonymous with intellectual aristocracy” (The Guardian), is a symbol for the best tradition of European publishing, with authors such as Ingeborg Bachmann, Roland Barthes, Norbert Elias, Michel Foucault, Hermann Hesse, James Joyce, Karl Kraus, Nelly Sachs, Claude Lévi-Strauss, Marcel Proust or Jorge Semprun. The program includes a large reception area for presenting the book collection, an auditorium to receive up to 150 people for lectures and an apartment for guest writers.
